A letter from Bradford Academy administration: Punctuality Policy

Dear Bradford Academy Family:

Believe it or not, summer is already beginning to wind down and we are looking forward to another great year at Bradford Academy!

As students and parents start to gear up for the first day of school, I wanted to remind everyone of the punctuality policy. School starts promptly at 8 a.m. for ninth through 12th grades and 9 a.m. for kindergarten through eighth grade. Students are expected to be in class on time every day. If you know your child is going to be late or absent, please call the office!

School doors open for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. for ninth through 12th grades and 8:30 a.m. for kindergarten through eighth grade. If a parent chooses to bring a lunch for his or her child, it must be done during that student’s lunch hours. Due to school policy, we cannot call any students out of class to retrieve lunches.

Early dismissal is not permissible unless a doctor’s note has been provided in advance. School ends at 2:45 p.m. for ninth through 12th grades and 3:45 p.m. for kindergarten through eighth grade. Please make sure you have the proper arrangements made for your child to remain in class each day until the dismissal bell rings and also assure he or she has a prompt ride home, unless he or she is staying after school for an event.

Bradford Academy students are expected to report to class on time each day and every hour. There is no reason for a student to be late for class once they have already entered the building. If a student obtains three tardies in one class, it will result in an absence on the student’s record. Students with frequent tardies will result in their classes being closed and mandatory parent meetings scheduled.

We want the absolute best for our students here at Bradford Academy and want to prepare them for future college classes, job interviews and their careers. The administration wants to stress the importance of being early, as it relates to life and future success!

If you have any questions at all about the punctuality policy, please feel free to contact me via email at cherylpaull@choiceschools.com or call 248-351-0000 ext. 11304. I look forward to seeing everybody on the first day back!

Sincerely,

Bradford Academy Administration
