The third-grade curriculum at Bradford Academy is both challenging and enjoyable for students. The third-grade curriculum is composed of, but not limited to, the four core areas of math, science, language arts and social studies.
The third-graders at Bradford will be learning about multiplication, division, problem solving skills, measurement, geometry and graphing in math. In science, third graders will learn about the Scientific Method, natural resources, earth materials, forms of energy, force and motion, and plant and animal studies. Language arts at Bradford Academy will help third grade students develop their reading and writing skills using a variety of genres, which include fiction, non-fiction and poetry. Students will develop their fluency, comprehension skills and will learn how to write in cursive. In social studies, students will learn about Michigan’s past and make connections to its present.
